67 GP power window relay
I am in the final stages of assembly and could not get the power windows to work at all.
I believe the relay is bad? It appears that there should be a positive wire attached that comes from the breaker that mounts on the firewall, plus one additional positive source? The third connection is connected to the window harness. I popped the cover off the relay and manually closed the contact, and all works fine. Does this mean I have a bad relay? Does anyone know where I can purchase one? Ames does not list one and I haven't been able to locate one. |

They pop up on eBay regularly, be generic in your search though, just search Power window relay GM.
There are also a few guys who rebuild relays in the services section of Hemming. For what it’s worth while AC relays often seem to fail it seems to be very rare for the PW ones to fail. Maybe bad wiring or ground?

Isn't the 67 GP window relay mounted on the E brake assembly?

Thanks for the help and it was the ground. Once I addressed it the relay worked fine.
I assume this needs to be connected to the ignition side so that it only works with the ignition "on"? |
