What do you mean "not being inspected"?

A safety inspection. Does Maryland not do annual inspections?

Nope. Only for purchase, and that can be bypassed if the car is historic.

Pontiac guys meet at harpoon Hannah's at four on Thursday. Easiest way to get there is north on coastal highway and left on rt 54, place is on the left you can't miss it. Right on the Delaware line.

Delaware is the same. Inspected whey you get your plates the first time and that's it. No inspection again and no yearly fee... it's free but you're restricted to car shows, cruise nights, and travel to and from repair shops. It's right on our registrations slips.

Did anyone else see where the police pulled over the Malibu and the Wawa there and 'inspected' him? Wrote him several tickets and towed the car. It's on youtube.

Just an FYI, as stated MD does not require annual inspections, however if you are being a dumb@$$ they do have the ability to pull you over and do a safety inspection on site. If violations are found, and they usually are, they will prevent you from driving the car further until issues have been corrected. I used to have a condo on 94th street and witnessed many people acting like idiots that deserved to get stopped. The police don't pick on the hot rod crowd too bad because these people tend to spend money on hotels, merch. dinners at rest. etc. The ones they really go after are what I call the 2F2F guys. Import and tuners with cars way out of camber. Statistics have shown these guys don't spend as much locally, they stay in campgrounds out of town, cheaper motels and their dinners consist of hot dog joints and pizza. This is paraphrased from the local newspaper a couple of years ago.

They call the import/tuners the H2O show we locals call them the fart box gang. They suck and their latest deal was a huge story here in OC, many arrests and a local cop I know shot at one that tried to run him over. The town wants to ban them which I am all for but don't believe will happen. Plenty of bad apples in the cruiser show also. Town gets way too crowded, they need to reorganize and set up a circuitous cruse to nearby towns to free up Coastal Hwy. I think they are trying to work something out with an event at nearby US 13 Dragway (about time) and I have always said they should work something out with the OC airport, maybe an 1/8th mile or burnout event.

Insurance won't allow it at the airport they tried years ago.

There would be FAA hurdles, too. Effectively, the FAA pays for our asphalt, installed to FAA standards... no wheel spinning, or other damaging behavior allowed.
