276 duration cam on a 2 valve engine will still not run 13,100 rpm and we both know it.

Especially on a 4.125 stroke engine.

I would be into a E head nitrous class. Instant green heads up would be my choice. Not concerned with the weight of anyone's car.

To go 3.99@175
With a Induction 8/71 w/Holley Dominator EFI....maybe at 350% over!
That would be really cool if he did do that with a tiny cam and tiny blower!

Chuck Ford and Troy Critchley would be lining up for autographs!!!!

Everytime we have been in the 3.90's with our old old old old Davenport 14-71 20over with our brad8 heads we've been 183+ @2575lbs ,But NOWAY do we claim anywhere close to 3500hp
By the way...

About $2,500. But how would you make it any more acceptable to the racers than Tom S did?

Hi Guys,

"The Pontiac List" is a tool for anyone looking to build their first, or their next Pontiac race car. Thankfully we now have many options with one of the hottest topics being cylinder heads. We're looking for real information so it can be categorized and helpful for everyone in making decisions as to which parts they want to use and can afford to use to take their car to the next level.

Category Top Door Car
Number 1
Name Randy Repp
Contact Info GoatZillaRacing.com
Year 1964
Car GTO
Weight 2400
Engine Bore/Stroke 496 4.375 X 4.125
Heads - Type & CFM Ram Air V 550/400
Cam Type & Duration Solid Roller 276/282@.050
Valve Lift & Rocker Ratio .920@1.85/.990@2.00
Cam Centerline 112
Horsepower 3500
Torque 1400
Induction 8/71 w/Holley Dominator EFI
Fuel Type Alcohol
Tire Type & Size Slicks 15 X 34.5 X 15
Gear Ratio 4.56
Transmission SuperGlide 4
60 Foot Time 0.999
ET 1/8 Mile 3.99
MPH 1/8 Mile 175.01
ET 1/4 Mile 5.95
MPH 1/4 Mile 240.01
Top Speed 240.01

If you've been following along on facebook, the post above was me asking, "What other information should we include on the list?" Obviously this is only an example.

Once I have the form created, everyone who wants to be on "The List" simply fills out the form as completely as possible, please have your car with you in it weighed at the track and send a picture of the form and your best timeslip from Norwalk (or some other event that other Pontiac people could verify) to my phone at 317-671-3669 or email LIST@RPM.tv There WILL be a Class for everyone and with all the info you provide, we can break it down in hundreds of ways!

There will be 3 main Classes, N/A, (Q-Jets, Holleys, FI and EFI) Nitrous and Boosted (Turbo, ProCharger, Roots Blower all in the Boosted Category) and in each Class we will have As Cast and Ported Heads (you can't compare an as cast Edelbrock head to a Wide Port or an as cast DCI RAV to Ben's Max Ported DCIs) There will be Factory Pontiac as cast and ported Cast Iron D-ports, RAIVs, SDs and RAVs as well as all the aftermarket heads.

This whole project is designed to help all of us make decisions on what parts we need to reach our goals both from a performance and budget standpoint. The more data the better!
With today's hot topic of "Who's got the best heads?" I really think all the head manufacturers should get behind their favorite customer to make sure their heads make it to the "Head of the Class" in each category. As Cast and Ported with the Ported heads stating a price to duplicate the Port work. The whole point for the manufacturer is to prove that their product works and the point for "us", the Pontiac parts buying customer, is bang for the buck.

LOL!I think the race is on the ticket this year.Have not talked to anyone that was going to run it.This has been beat to death for years. The reason it did work for so long was it was EASY for the track, they only had to weigh and P&G.They did not have to worry about, tires, carbs, trans etc.EVERYONE wants to tweak the rules to suit them, weight break for this weight penalty for that.Pete cant and wont be bothered with that stuff.CI to weight N/A,pontiac bore space, pontiac body run what you brung.Tom
