1973 Pontiac Firebird 400 motor - $700
I have for sale a 1973 Pontiac 400 from a firebird. The code is YZ block casting number is 481988. I bought it couple years ago for my 67 firebird but have since found a 455 I'm going to put in it. I was told it was recently rebuilt ( I don't know any specifics on the rebuild) and was deemed to be to much motor so they pulled it and put a small block chevy...... Anyway I've never run it but as you can see I took a valve cover off and it looks very clean. Dust on the engine is because it has been in the garage a couple years and I had the roof replaced. There are no casting numbers on the center exhaust ports (I don't know why) of the heads. Motor is tight but turns over with a socket wrench. Includes the oil pan to the valve covers. No intake, no exhaust, and no accessories or pullys. Does not Include the distributor or water pump. I can load it.
