After thinking it thru and listening to the various opinions here, pretty much everything on the car will stay as it's supposed to be.
I'll probably put in a different radio (the original doesn't work anyway) but only something that bolts in with no cutting or modification.

Yay!!

I am posting this incase you don't already know it;
1) The AM pushbutton radio (as far as I can recall) is the same unit right up to 1977 - and is the easiest one to get.
2) a Pontiac enthusiast has created a device which makes worrying about upgrading radios almost pointless;
"Redi-Rad" https://redirad.com/
/\ I plan on buying one.

EDIT:
a) As far as I am aware, the AM radio face always has a 'script' style "Delco".
b) Radio came in single speaker output or dual speaker output;
As far as I know all radios which went through an 8-track player used a single output, and the tape playe split the output into two channels.
c) The AM/FM had two distinct looks; the early ones had a 'script' font for the "Delco" logo whereas the latter ones had "Delco" on a little rectangular 'box'.

I hope this helps!

The 8-track player was available with mono or stereo radios. There are two different wiring harnesses depending on the radio option. With the single-channel radio the front and rear speaker signals are passed through the 8-track unit and controlled by the balance knob on it. With a stereo radio the balance is controlled by the knob on either the radio or 8-track depending on what is being used at the time.

Thanks for all of the radio tips! I did not know about the redirad place. I like wiring so all of the wiring info is great too.

Nope.

I noticed the part number stamped on your front shock is 3192732, but the part number is said to be 3192132. Can anyone clarify? The "7" number does not show up on a search.

That 7 you refer to looks awfully straight like a 1 to me? Lighting?

I would certainly say it’s a 1

Maybe it's rust and shadow, but it looks like it curves to the right at the top of the vertical. Needs to be cleaned.

It may not come across great in a picture but it's definitely a 1 and not a 7.

I tried to use a piece of chalk to help highlight it, but I couldn't get the 1 to hold the chalk.
Here's a slightly different view:

And here's the other front shock. Unfortunately the 1 is right at the seam of the shock tube, so not a great picture either, but I think you can tell it's a 1.

That's good, I mean the part number calls for a one so... Thanks for verifying.
