Default Back in the saddle

Jerry, misery loves company so everybody else who has a project going is glad to find out you have one too. This car reminds me of the red '65 2+2 you showed me a picture of some time ago.

This car has a lot better 'bones' than that 2+2 did, just not the potential when done. Problem is I may not live long enough to see this project through.

As myself, another GTO owner to the Darkside. I really like the body lines on these and V E N T U R A sets it off. No slackin' Jerry, get this on the road!

Well, sometimes things may change. If you've read my thread concerning the engine being locked up, http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...howthread.php? t=803353 , then you have been aware of my problem with the original engine. I've been having continued problems with my health lately, and the car has been unattended for almost 3 months now and I don't see me getting back at it any time soon.

With it's current condition, I've been playing with the idea of selling it as is and just using the money toward a B body that is ready to drive. I've installed a new set of bias ply repro tires, Firestone IIRC; I've had the original alternator and starter professionally remanufactured, I've washed the exterior and cleaned the interior well enough to not be afraid to get in and drive (it is not concours detailed). With the motor not running, I'm just trying to figure out what it might be worth. One rust spot in the bottom of the passenger fender (it was replaced because of an accident early in it's life) and has some rust scale in the trunk but that's all. Any ideas of what I should ask?

For some reason, your link didn't work Jerry. Corrected-

Hate to hear you're not feeling well enough to tackle it right now. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Love the big red cars!

Watching this series like a hawk - you got yourself a good 'un there. Looks solid and you can get it running first, then deal with cosmetics.

Hey Jerry. We will keep the thread alive. The engine and transmission are being rebuilt. The body’ is stripped and will be soda blasted along with the bottom side. Some mikes freshening up and rechrome this will be a great car. I will post some updates pictures once it’s in color.

Hey Jerry, congrats on the sale. By the way, I've seen a gentleman at Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant a couple times in the last few week that looks like you. Do you ever go there? (Old Peachtree at I-85, across from the QuickTrip).

Not me BJ. I sure wish it was. I've been dealing with some complications of a 'scope' of my knee back on the 11th. The pain had gotten so severe after the surgery that I could not walk. I just found out today that I've got a small blood clot in the calf below my right knee. Blood thinners for 90 days now. And the problem still is that the vascular doctor isn't sure that this clot is what's causing all of my pain. He says he's never seen a small clot like mine cause someone have pain bad enough to keep the from being able to walk. But I'm in a wheelchair!

I guess if you've seen someone that ugly they stick in your mind!
