Default Oil pan recommendations

Im starting to collect parts for my stroker motor and I'm looking for opinions on oil pans. There motor is going to be going into a street/strip car that could see some higher RPMs. My builder said i would be fine with the Canton 15-400 but I've noticed a lot of people are running the canton road race 15-444. Just looking for opinions on which would be a better option for a car that'll see both the street and strip.

Do you need a pan for a A , B or F body car?

Be sure when you are evaluating the Canton products their listing is for "system capacity". For example the 15-450 is listed as '6 quart system capacity', by that they mean 5 quarts in the pan and 1 quart in the engine including filter. Most popular filters do not hold one quart.

The 15-400 is a nice pan with a single kick out on the drivers side.Clears everything well on a 1980 firebird and doesn't hang down too low.You will need a mini starter its tight.
