Just like most stuff in life, Example: a Fart in the wind, you hear about it and then it is gone.

Then you have the guys who really did something like Vic Edelbrock, jr. who just passed away.
Unless someone, like yourself, asks the question they just fade away.
PY has lost a lot of "movers and shakers" in the Pontiac World over the years.

Where ever he is (Dick Fulton) I hope he is Going Fast and Happy!

DF has been around a long time, probably not going anywhere soon. After proving he can run faster & quicker with the CV-1 heads then his OLD E-Heads with a heavier car all last year he probably just making a few changes and hasn't gotten his car out yet......heck I just got my car out! Its still a long season!

How is the car heavier? And do you know this for a fact or are you just making chit up because E heads own you.

He may not have any front runners since I bought his old ones.

No I'm pretty sure we went through this before......I know what his car was before (asked him......before his cv-1 heads) and he said what his car was last year.... did the MATH.
It was around 100 lbs.

He must have not had the C/F doors on it.

All quiet on the CV1 front.

I thought there was a thread on here last yr after Norwalk saying they hurt a piston. But i haven't seen or heard anything more, maybe they hurt it worse than they thought? Or maybe Fulton is just taking some time off? I saw him post some items for sale not to long ago so he is around for that.

... Fulton did take some time off so to speak as he put in a lot of work and money getting the car ready to race last season, but the engine will be back in the car soon so he'll be back out testing afterwards, as for the change in weight the car picked up some heft from the crank, and dry sump system, but past that i'm not sure if it was 100lbs so i'd need to ask Fulton to be sure on that part ...

... as for the engine, cylinder#1 took a hit after a N20 malfunction that armed & disarmed repeatedly during TNT at Brainerd the weekend before Norwalk, and Fulton took the car to Norwalk anyways despite cyl#1 being down 40+ lbs of compression from the incident, at Norwalk we pulled power out of cyl#1 to keep it going as long as we could, and the 7.62 run Fulton had lifted due to surging during the run which is when we finished cyl#1 off, Fulton had posted about this after norwalk, so i'm just posting that info for anyone asking that maybe didn't see it ...

... we'll be back out shortly ...

100 pounds for a dry sump and crank is very very very excessive. Maybe 40 tops.

That's just what I remembered, there may have been other factors but I remember ... Fulton was very busy with the car, but I'll ask to be sure ... But we did post pics of the car on the scale during the King Street class so everyone could see what it weighed ... Not sure about the 100lbs part though ...

Hello all, and thanks for the interest.

Believe it or not, we do have a life outside of racing, lol. There have been some delays and other life events, but otherwise everything is just sitting in the garage, waiting for me to put it all back together. Made a number of tweaks and adjustments over the winter, based on what we learned last season. We'll be out probably sometime in July. See you at the track.

Dick Fulton
