I have this nitrous bottle that I leased back in 1989. My original paper work says it weighs 64# empty. I managed to get it on the bathroom scale and it said 134#.
Any idea how much nitrous is in it ? ![]() And what is the going price for a # of nitrous ?

Standard mother bottles range between 115# and 150# tare(empty). Look for a number on the bottle followed by a "TW" for tare weight. They advertise 64# of product when full. My guess is, your bottle is empty except for some gaseous N20. A bottle that old probably has no siphon tube. Crack open the valve to see if it has pressure. If it does, and you see no liquid, turn it upside down and try it again. Either way, if you see no liquid, it needs refilled. N2O can be hard to get right now. You are at the mercy of the seller if you can find it.

10# bottles should be date stamped.
There's a good market for them on racingjunk but you can't ship them pressurized. If they're filled, you'll need to do local pickup or sell at track. Eric
