That steering wheel looks way out of place on that car!

That's a LOT of masking tape! Kinda cool actually, except for the headlight butchery....

Yeah, that's cool - imagine the looks on their faces if you rolled into Bowling Green with that one!

Needs a pic...

Chris, there were probably more than one back then.

I saw one like that back in 76 at a local dealer.
It was up on a pedestal thingy.
We had a blizzard the night before, and while driving by there saw the wheels were stolen off it.
(sitting on blocks)

The car still had like 2 feet of snow on top of it.

Never saw it around again.

I love Vettes like this! I've actually seen this car for sale before, and I think it would sell pretty easy if it wasn't for the headlights. I like everything about it, except for the headlights.

I have calliope music and an endless stream of clowns piling out of the car playing in my head right now.

Yeah, that steering wheel is hideous. The rest of it is pretty cool as a period piece.

To be honest I could never ever see myself driving that unless I was pranking someone.

Yep. It looks tasteless'80's to me, like something David Hasselhoff would have.
The car screams for a red metal-flake and chrome steering wheel.

I agree, except for the steering wheel, I'd drive it!

I think you had to be of the right age when these things WERE cool, to appreciate it now.
I think it's pretty cool, too, but a few details like the steering wheel and fender louvers grafted in behind the rear tires aren't to my liking.
Neat car for someone else to own, and me to look at

Maybe it's because I was born in the 90's, but WOW, that's ugly to me!

Lots of customized vans back then looked like this. This could have been on the cover page of Popular Hot Rodding at the time. (Or Car Craft)

Exactly!
