Default 69 rubber fuel line question

Searched and came up empty..

I saw a trail of fuel behind my 69 GTO last fall as I was putting it away after the first time on the road since '06. I drove only about 15 miles but it was enough

So, guessing its the rubber line from the steel line that comes out of the frame to the pump. 3/8" , correct? Is there a return or vent line on these? Its been so long I don't remember and the auto parts store closes at noon. I won't be there until after that and the next town with a parts store is 20+ miles. I want to buy what I need ahead of time and hopefully have it fired up in an hour.

A foot or two of 3/8" hose and a foot of 1/4" hose should do it.

Thanks, Lee.

This one is going to be a challenge until I restore it. The frost plug on the head behind the alternator rotted out, the one on the passenger side head facing the firewall rotted out. Small holes so have temp patched with epoxy, the trans leaks and the radiator has a pinhole leak. But its still a lot of fun to drive!

So the 1/4" return line looked like a fountain when we started the car. 10 minutes of work and 2 hours of cruising made for a great day. My 17 yo daughter hasn't been in the car since before I put it in storage...time flies and I rember putting her in the back seat in her baby seat like it was last week. So, she was fired up to get behind the wheel. I drove to the car wash to clean it up and put her behind the wheel for then next couple of hours and 25-30 miles with stops at a couple of rural parks and a drive-in restaurant. She's decided she wants me to bring it home so she can take it to school when the weather is nice.. I'm fine with that and it will be good to see her drive away with it once in a while(key phrase being 'once in a while'). She says one boy drives an unrestored Chevelle and I think she just wants to show him up. lol

Nice and easy fix there and way to get the next generation involved! I had the tank out of my car this week checking a leak and it turned out to be a vent I had no idea about on the passenger side front upper corner. Turns out the rubber line was split near the tank, very simple fix also.

Don't forget that that large forward vent hose originally had a fume suppression sponge in it. When you replace it make sure you either use a repro hose and sponge from ames or just put a longer hose that turns 180 degrees on top so fumes can't get out and dirt can't get in.

Btw I can relate to time flying, my three kids are now 17, 14 and 18, this picture seems like it was taken yesterday.
