69 - Hurst dual gate shifter?
I am going for a vintage look and I really like the idea of doing the old Hurst dual gate shifter. I see some even have a wood grain shifter plate that looks like it could go in place of the factory wood grain piece nicely. I think it would be really cool to add.
I see some original ones on eBay and lots of reproductions one. I see them for anything from an Olds to a Camaro, but nothing for the Firebird. Can anyone help me out and tell me which one I can buy that will fit a 69 Firebird with a TH400? Thanks!!! I would REALLY like to find an old used one with allot of patina but I doubt I will find one and will probably have to buy a reproduction. Is this the only option right now for a bolt-in kit for a Firebird? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1968-69-Pont...-/331037463418 Alex

I was also trying to do this swap last year, eBay is the only option, from reading on other forums, the 1970 hurst dualgate shifter might work. Google and you can find more info on this subject, Good luck.

Thanks, I'll do a more in-depth Google search.
I very well may go with that eBay ThePartsPlace shifter though, just gotta save a little bit.

I have a 1970 GTO and one of the first changes I made is to add a 1968 GTO Hurst dual gate shifter. Found an NOS one on Craigslist for like $200. It wasn't perfect but a nice driver piece. I know its not original but I like those shifters and its my car dammit. I have the original in a box so I could always go back.
