Default Trans mount

My 67 GTO has been chewing up my fan shroud at the bottom, I think I moved the position of the fan when I updated the timing cover to a 11 bolt and W/P. My trans mount is 1 13/16 tall. Is there a trans mount slightly shorter that would change the geometry and position it correctly. Any ideas are welcome.

How are your motor mounts? Are they compressed?

I'm thinking motor mount issues.

Check your frame where the trans X member bolts up.People jack up the car there and bend it which make the back of the trans higher and the fan lower.I have run into it on my GTO.Also I think aftermarket trans mounts are thicker.I had a shop take 1/4 in off mine. The fan should be in the same position with either the 8 bolt or 11 bolt timing cover.Tom

Look and see if your center link is really close to the oil pan, you may need motor mount shims or spacers.

Mike, I noticed the same issue that TomS mentioned above in my 69 GTO. Both previous owners and I jacked the car up from the wrong place. I tried to straiten it as much as I could.
