Default 488 short block for sale

A quick history. I had this engine built a couple of years ago for a 69 gto I was putting together. Ran the engine in the car chassis first than in the car only down the road I live on a couple of times. As a fresh engine it started out with a 50/50 mix of water and antifreeze. A couple of leaks, a change of the thermostat and a couple of things later it went into winter with a far less than optimal mix of antifreeze and water and dropped a couple of freeze plugs. Rather than run it I opted to completely disassemble and inspect. Upon inspection I found nothing that resembled a crack but I have not had the block pressure tested. The thing I did find was minor scratching in the #7 cylinder. I took the block to fast times racing in Taylor to inquire about having a sleeve put in. They suggested that hit it with a hone and use it as is. I feel like this is the case but want to be up front with interested parties. Now about the short block.
I would like to sell everything that I have left as one package rather than parting it out. Local pickups only although with a substantial deposit I could deliver to Norwalk Pontiac nationals.
Included is the 1972 400 block that is discussed above.
It was clearances for the crank, line honed with arp studded mains and bored .035 over to Match the Pistons. The crank is a scat forged 4.5" stroke, the Pistons are probe racing forged Pistons with a 27cc relief, the rods are eagle 6.800 inch that I purchased from another member. They were the only part of the rotating assy that were used before I had the engine built. The assembly was balanced by my builder and I have all of the paperwork from the build. The timing chain was ordered and fit to work with the line honing. The cam is a solid flat cam. My builder thought it was a little small for the engine but it sounded just right and for the 2 short drives I took it was a monster. Also included in the sale is the super victor Efi intake with the bungs temporarily blocked for use with a carb. It's a dominator flange but I was running a 1000cfm 4150 carb with an adapter. Adapter is included but the carb is gone. I also have a canton road race pan, an aluminum serpentine belt pulley set, (aluminum is oxidized so not great appearing but works fine) a polished aluminum alternator that was new when I installed it, a power master mini starter, the oil pump, solid motor mounts and literally anything else I can find that goes with the engine. Old brackets, old valve covers, bolts... Etc. I'm firm at $2500 for everything I have. I'll add pics of everything some time tomorrow or Wednesday. Thanks for any interest and Happy 4th to all!

I'm shocked that this hasn't had more interest but I understand that's the way it goes sometimes... I will split up and sell separately on wednesday if there is no interest at this price. PM me if you are interested in individual parts. I already have interest in the crank (jack ferris) and the rods or entire rotating assembly (smokey1978). Ill contact you 2 first if it gets to that. Thanks again and please call or text if interested. 586-550-8031. Bob

It should also be noted that the engine was disassembled and everything was bagged and marked from bearings to main studs. Piston rings were sized and are still on the pistons as they came out. Fuel pump eccentric was deleted and proper cam button and fuel pump block off are included. I believe this could be reassembled and ran. Someone please chime in if this is wrong.

Hey Bob! Tell Gary (bloated goat) the canadians can't make it this year. I am planning next year whether the boys come or not! Wife's got me and the kids going to Prince Edward Island for holidays next weekend.
