Default Thinking about Judge Striping my 70

Palladium Silver stock appearing GTO.
Thinking about adding Judge Stripes. Have a wing on the trunk. No vinyl top. Car needs some bling. Considering stripes.
Whadoyathink. What color stripes. Should I add the glove box emblem ? Remove the GTO decals from the front quarters and trunk go full tilt Judge ?

Add the Ram Air too! It's your car, do what you like.

I did it with this convertible - took it from this...

to this!

Granted, mine didn't have a stitch of it's original drive line in it and wasn't the original colors in or out - so not much original to worry about saving.

I added the Judge stripes to my 70 GTO conv for the same reason your stating. My car is verdoro green and I needed to do something to make the car "pop". I only added the stripes and left the GTO decal in place. Everyone says the car looks great.

I did it, enjoy the car more, and haven't looked back.

Added the hood tach, stripes, chin spoiler, 68 Hurst dual gate, cut the scoops took off the beauty rings, and a formula steering wheel coming soon! May even add the glovebox logo. I still need to swap out the dash tach for the clock I purchased awhile back.

Consider the '69 Judge stripe as well...in '70 it was an option. I think it works better for adding the "pop" you desire without muddying the waters with pedigree.

You could leave the GTO decals on with the judge stripes like the two lane blacktop car.

I like that idea. Was an option in 70 ? And I've heard that before, but can't find any info to verify that.

You really shouldn't.

All the real Judge owners might have a fit.

Yes...I believe it was called the D98 Sport Stripe in '70 and was only offered at the beginning of the model year (probably using up left over '69 stripes)

I had it painted into my car.

Maybe you should've posted this thread in the Judge tech forum so you could ask permission.

My old GTO was a second week Jan build and came with RA3 and the Judge stripe option. I believe early cars had the sword stripe before the eyebrow stripes came out. Actually it was built Palladium silver so i 'think' would have the blue/yellow stripe. Pretty cool color. [I did not do the red repaint !!]
Personally,I think the sword stripe looks better.
