I've seen it in person several times with the current owner and the previous owner (Dan Jensen). You couldn't build this car for the $25K starting bid.

That is a sweet ride! What kind of ETs did it run?
If it were mine I think I'd pull off the eye brow stripes to make it even more stealth.

I am not saying that I disagree with you, but what condition was the car in when he purchased it from Dan? Sounds like he added the 455 and ? If the car is all original (paint/interior/etc.) the money is in the purchase price and engine/suspension correct?

This is the car that John Glasgo bought from out west and was a super clean low mileage original paint '72 LeMans post coupe stripper 350/th350 car to use a his base to make a 455HO pure stocker, or was it a FAST car first, can't rightly recall right now. Dan wanted to retire his T-37 from racing duties, so bought this car from John and converted it to a pure stock platform (didn't need to do much to do that). John had converted it to look like a '71, because in '72, you couldn't order the 455HO without the T-41 nose, and stripper A-bodies almost impossible to find this clean and solid, John couldn't pass up the opportunity and wait who knows how long for the right '71 to hit the market.
Dan was running solid 12.50's @ 110 mph, not sure what venue John was running, so I can't say....maybe he'll chime in to answer your question. IIRC, I do remember that John was running 15x7 Rally II's with Goodyear G60x15's that came in the car when Dan bought it. Dan later sold it to Steve without the motor, so Steve rounded up all the correct parts for the Pure Stocks. Steve also added the white painted top to mimmic Dan's two-tone T and I think it looks very nice. Steve does excellent work, so he fluffed a few other things to raise it to his standards. That car is capable of mid-12's with tuning and driving finess no problem. Dennis |

That is a great car for the money. I would have never did the top thing, but a very good car. Unfortunately the market is soft as cotton. For that kind of dough,i think it's a steal.
