front disc brake question
Wanted to see if 1968 firebird dual piston calipers are easy to install on a 1970 GTO single piston caliper rotor.
Has anyone done this. Thanks !!! |

maybe..
youd have to use every piece of the firbird stuff...it has unique brackets etc... i dont see why it wouldnt if you took it all including the frame bracket for the line etc.. BUT...unless someone spent a lot of money on the early stuffand had them stainless sleeved etc..i wouldnt do it...they leak and sitting is the killer of them.. ive done it the other way, and i used all the single piston andput it right on a factory disc brake 68 GTO...A and F are the same you just flip sides...ones rear steer the other front..

Quote:
Incorrect if you are discussing steering arms: The 1967-69 F are rear steer and have a significant drop down to the tie rod, 1964-72 "A"s are almost straight out from the mounting bolts to the front. |
