My T-37 came with manual drums all around (but power steering, V8 and AC)...I upgraded to power discs all around. I don't have a parking brake, but well worth it in terms of stopping power (especially after I upgraded the 350-2bbl to a 455!) Highly recommended.

Haven't decided on anything as of yet. Was contemplating at some point bluilding a 400 and dropping it in. As of now, just gonna keep it the way it is. Right now, it has the original 350. Was a 2bbl car but the previous owner put a 4bbl and manifold on it and installed a comp cam. It does have dual exhaust too.

After dropping a 455 in there, I think for sure I would have upgraded too! I can't image trying to stop that thing with manuals!

I think if I upgrade to a 400 at some point, I will at least upgrade the brakes to power disc fronts. My car has power steering but no A/C. In fact, kind of threw me for a loop when I looked at pictures of a non-air car. I had two '69 GTO's and a '72 Lemans and all had air. I couldn't figure out why this car was missing the drivers side and passenger side vents! LOL It just looked strange to me!

I'm converting my 71 to 4wh disks. When I bought it, it had manual drums and the first thing I did was convert it to power disks. Since i will be pulling off the entire system and putting it up for sale, I'll give you first dibbs on it if you're interested.

Nice one Tyler! If that Adriatic Blue/Cameo car we were looking at was this nice, I'd have a thread like this posted as well! Shoot me a PM with some details on the deal for comparison.

Drum breaks work fine as long as you don't act stupid. Put 41k + miles on my T-37 455Ho with drum brakes and no,problems. No PS, PB or AC. Only AM radio. No big deal.

We are just so used to superior brakes today that anything else sounds no good. I don't think we drive as safely as we used to when we knew the limits of the cars then.

Dan Jensen changes the brakes on his T-37 several years ago. He just upgraded the drums. Stopped well. It was in either HPP or MCR. Maybe he will chime in here. It is what I plan to do with mine.

I saw that car on Ebay, it was priced right if the pics match the true condition. Love it, congrats

Thanks! I did not buy it off ebay some I'm not sure if it was ever listed on there. Do you recall how long ago and the location?

Car is nice, there is a few nicks and dings in it and has a spot or two of some paint bubbles. The repaint looks like it was from a while back and is showing some age to it in spots. Not a show car but a nice driver. Which is what I was looking for!

Love the Castillian bronze color. The first '71 T-37 hardtop I parted out over 30 years ago was a Castillian Bronze with black vinyl interior 6cyl car, built out of Pontiac plant in May of '71, still have the buildsheet. Car was gone by '88, but the perfect header panel, doors, deckild, one 1/4, both fenders, interior and many other pieces made it onto two '71 HO 233's and several GTO's.

Sorry, thought it was Ebay but maybe it was CL or one of the other sites. Anyway, love that color, enjoy!

No problem! I've been looking so hard for cars lately I forget where I seen half the stuff I've seen! LOL

This was interesting however. When I went to look at the car, I did a google search for 1971 Post cars and this actually came up in the search. I thought it was a the same car until I took a better look at it! Funny thing is the guy lives in Wisconsin!
