The substance abuse of that generation of rockers sure hasn't been favorable for making it past age 75.
A lot of them will be coming up on that milestone in the next few years.

.....ironically speaking, Keith Richards will probably outlive them all.

Keith Richards is a vampire. He is nearly 600 years old.

I agree!

The biggest shock to me is how long some of these HAVE lived....many have never strayed from all the bad habits they into in their younger days...

What's with all the celebs dying this month?

I'm only 38, but I'm a big Jefferson Airplane (not Starship) fan. Sad to hear the news and sad for Grace and China.

You have to remember that back then, anyone over 30 should be shot!

They have lived over twice their expected life span.

He was actually scheduled to perform tonight in a night club here in Minneapolis, on a double bill with Blue Oyster Cult. A curious thing - Scott Wieland (Stone Temple Pilots) and Cory Wells (3 Dog Night) both died in the last couple months just before they were scheduled to appear at the same venue.

Early Starship was good. Saw the band at a small venue one time.

Yeah it's a shame they're dying off. But just think of what that rock band in Heaven is going to be like when they're all together up there.

Whoa! I had not heard about Cory Wells. I'm a HUGE Three Dog Night fan, how did that get past me? Sheesh, that sucks. I'm fortunate to have seen him at a TDN concert in 1986 when a lot of 60s-70s bands were starting to do reunion tours.
Chuck Negron was a heroin junkie for years, and keyboardist Jimmy Greenspoon was a rampant drug abuser for (probably) more than 20 years, but they both outlived bassist Joe Shermie and now Cory.
