They were guesstimating 1-3m on the Mecum show this weekend. I don't have that kind of money to burn, so it's moot for me.

But it sure is pretty...

Haven't seen Joe in a month, maybe two. But I thought of him and this thread today...saw a 69 convertible in various shades of primer being trailered on the 101 in Scottsdale. Didn't think much of it until I saw the spoiler. Headed in opposite direction or else I would have followed for a closer look.

My guess is it will bid to under $1 mil and be a no sale.. Mecum has not generated many million plus muscle cars for 2015.... All of us who own any '69 T/A would love to see $3mil on any T/A but just don't see it.... (Reference the Silver Prototype sale)

We'll all know after January when it's on the auction block at Mecum.

Thumbs up very

I say over 1.5.
I have a copy of the orig dealer paper work. Interesting story, as I am good friends with orig dealer, and his son. He wanted a few 6 cyl verts, zone office here, forced him to take this, double in price TA. They sold in 70, as demo at a loss. . Another friend of mine, knows guy that bought it, and it was used in his 1970 wedding.
In 75 or so,it was on a used car lot, then car went down south, prior to, it had a rat motor in it, from what I was told..

The story gets even better....I was talking with Rick the other night & he told me when he came up to CT to buy it from Lenny Napoli he was driving his then brand new 5 series BMW. Lenny liked the BMW so much he had Rick throw it into the deal with some cash for the TA Vert!
