If I was a betting man, my money would be on Jeff Verdi. But it's gonna be a good event!!!

Bill,

Are enclosed trailers allowed through the Harbor Tunnel 895??

Any suggestions for the best route coming from the north??

Yes.

895 is the quickest way from the North.

I went to Cecil County via 301 a couple weeks ago and it was a nice ride. I only had to pay the Bay Bridge toll on the way up (no toll on the way back home). Tom, 895 isn't bad (although they do have a sign limiting trailers to 96" width) and my 102" trailer goes through without any issues. Once you come through that tunnel, it's maybe a half hour to Capitol. I'll be at the track Friday night looking for the Pontiacs!!

The last time I towed up that way the Susquehanna River
Toll was a little high, on rt. 40, and I'm pretty sure it's similar on I95. The only other option would be the conowingo dam.

I just saw the flyer for Saturday.

It says gates open at 10am.

Bill, could you find out if this is true? It would sure be better if it was earlier.

Thanks

With the increasing chance of rain on Saturday, the decision was made to postpone the event. The track had a FULL PLATE with a 4.50 index race, 25+ Pro Mods, the Outlaw Pontiacs, the Pontiac Q16, and three full classes of their regular bracket points finals on that day. Any rain, with the cooler temps projected would not allow adequate time to dry the track and get the FULL race in. Since there were people coming from Florida, NY, W. Va, Va, PA and other distant places, it was decided to postpone it. We are shooting for Oct 10th as the new date. Nobody wants to travel that distance and split the money (not to mention what would have to be done about the heads) so for the best possible outcome it was decided to postpone it. Thanks for your support and understanding.

FYI.....The Outlaw Pontiac Drag Series race #8 IS STILL ON!!!! Only the Q16 race has been postponed. Since the "local" racers won't be wasting as much $$$$ if the rain shows up as expected. So those coming to race in the foot brake class can still come. We were just being considerate of those who needed hotel rooms, air fares and other expenses to come from further away.
