you can buy those badges on ebay for about 10-15 bucks. I am going to put some on a 1 of none built GTO to play around, but they mean nothing more than you have something Hurst on your car.

Back in the day, the Hurst emblems were used when you installed Hurst wheels on the car.

From reading the questions, it appears that the only evidence that is a 455 are the emblems and "Buick" sticker.

They really should hire a car guy to manage those sales.

At and over 18k I would not buy that car. For that price I would rather know what I am buying rather than dropping that much coin guessing on what I am getting. Plus if some druggie dude owned that car my bet is that it has been beaten to death and hacked on so much there are going to be tons of problems. No thanks.

You are definitely gambling. But you could always win when you gamble. I wouldnt pay 18k+ for it but thats more because I dont care for 69's. Which Im sure is an unpopular sentiment.

Not a big Firebird person, but from the pics, 18k seems pretty high and then when you consider it's history it's stay away high.

You have quite a bit of company with this sentiment. If it isn't a Trans Am from that year, you couldn't get me to take one for free.

Looks like a pretty nice car....I prefer the '67 and '68 myself too...but still, nice looking car. It's not far from here at all but too much money for me right now.
By the way, just because someone sells drugs it doesn't mean they are doing drugs. I wouldn't let that alone deter me a bit.

Same sentiment here... send it to me. But for 18,000, I'd pass seeing it's history. That alone could come back to bite you. I've seen seized cars get sold and then stopped and torn apart over and over at US Customs because they once carried drugs. You can't fool drug sniffing dogs.

Nice stance, perhaps some of these arm chair warriors should join the camaro club.... 69 has so much more going for it than a '67 or 68, my HO

I would believe this car was a seizure from a drug dealer or something and not from a border seizure. The cars they seize at the border are torn apart and then crushed. They don't resell the cars.

Living not very far from and being pretty familiar with Albertville, it's a good guess that the car is local and not a border car. The area is well-known as a drug transhipment hub and used to be the home of more chop-shops that you can swing a dead Muslim at, and was famous as well as the roll-back center of the universe.

That being said, a wise buyer would make the trip and give it a very close inspection. The current bid is a lot of cash for a pig in a poke, even for a pig with a lot of lipstick.

I would stay away from it big time, who wants a car owned by some lowlife drug dealer? Could be stuff like guns still stashed in the car, could be he wants it back when he gets out of jail. could be other people see the car and think it's his... could be very bad.

life is complicated sufficiently without stuff like this!
