Than how does Braswell and some of the other Carburetor companies do it on say the NHRA 500 ci N/A Pro Stockers? That would be the 64 thousand dollar question. Stan

Just to add to this I believe the that it can be controlled to some degree by the emulsion jets and there size and location in the stack ie: the fuel curve. as the fuel level in the bowl changes due to use and acceleration the effect of the emulsion jets at different float levels will compensate to some degree. Just my 2 cents worth. Also remember that the "pressure" in the scoop is being applied to the inside of the float bowl also via the bowl vent, contributing to the calibration issues at hand.

The Scoop vs carb calibration issue will be there, just some know how to compensate for it. I have worked on carbs that has 10 emulsion holes per carb barrel and multiple main circuits per barrel. Tom V.

Little known fact, David's dad campaigned a Pontiac powered Rail for many years and was a very pleasant man to talk to about pontiacs in general 9over the years). I know how he does it, Chuck Gulledge knew how to do it, You will never see me post Braswell carb info (related to his calibrations). Tom V.
