Default Input needed, which 6 x 9 Rear Speakers

Hi guys, putting some tunes in the '68 and would like to solicit input from you guys on rear speakers. My system is a Kenwood receiver with a set of Kenwood 6.5 in the aftermarket kick panels. The rears will be powered by a Kenwood 100w amp and no subs.

I had a set of Infinity 3 ways that I thought were very clean. Unfortunately one took a crap while in a different car so I'm searching for new ones.

I'm looking at the Kenwood Exelon x693, Rockford R169x3, Infinity 9633cf, Polk Db69, and since they are going in a GTO the JBL GTO938s.

Does anyone have any experience or input from a similar system?

Thanks,
Joe

Thumbs up Xplods

I really like the Sony Xplods in the 6x9.

Have had them in three different cars, no issues and great bass w/o distortion and have never had one failure yet. I also think they are a bit more efficient as well as they always seem to be louder at a lower volume setting than whatever speaker they replaced.

I do not use their grille, if you could call it that, I either use a mesh type if a custom install or no grille if going under the package shelf as original.

Have you looked into Kicker 6''x9''s

Kicker 41DSC6934
Excellent reviews, had a set in my Bird years ago after the Cerwin Vega's foam surrounds bit the dust.they did repair them but were never the same.I thought the Kickers sounded better.
Priced nice too.

I have used FoCal's in my past few builds. The sound quality is amazing even with their access line which is more entry level. I prefer co axial speakers for my sound preference but we all hear things a bit differently. They also make a set of triax if you are so inclined.
