Yeah, I don't get Diego's dig at ultimategto.com either. I understand the site exceeded it's bandwidth a few months ago at least. I'll ask the owner what's going on with it.

What's with deleting my post? Kinda surprised that a harmless opinion gets deleted like that.

The site is a great place to find some info, but it's not a good site to learn about GTOs if you know nothing about GTOs.

The UltimateGTO.com website is still up. I still get a lot of visits and emails daily from GTO fans. Don't worry!

The web hosting company has been a pain in the butt lately. They're too easily overloaded with traffic. The site gets hit with a LOT of spam, and I guess I take it personally because I report them to their (compromised) mail providers. The spammers retaliated by hitting my domain repeatedly with bogus page requests. That overloads the server. I had to bring down the server load by denying bots (search index robots) the ability to index files. So temporarily, I've stopped even Google from crawling through files on the website. Currently I'm listed very low on Google. But the site is still there. Don't worry. The index page will still come up for you, usually slowly.

And I've also denied access to whole ranges of foreign IP addresses that send the most spams to the domain. Places like China, France, India, Russian Federation, Philippines, Serbia, Effing Romania, Effing Ukraine, regrettably parts of Australia, Brazil etc.

In case you're interested, I have a FB page up called "Fans Of GTOs At UltimateGTO.com" at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fans-of-GTOs-at-UltimateGTOcom/145005635541256

Enjoy!

All I ever use UGTO for is a quick glance for looking up certain colors when deciphering trim tags, if I don't know the code off top of my head.

I like the site and appreciate it. I like using the zone and dealer codes not to mention all the pictures of different gto's

Your post was not deleted, it's right here in another thread on this subject in the '70-'72 forum: http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=765307

Yes I find it a great reference site that I hope doesn't turn into a Facebook page!

It is a great site and I spent hours and hours looking at GTO pictures and researching information when I first found it - and it is probably the main reason I decided to pursue my passion of buying a 71 GTO like the one I wanted when I turned 16 in 1971. Glad to know it is still up and running and will continue to visit it.
