I did some rough checking in CAD and I would say your plenum vol. is in the 170-175 ci. range. I'm no expert but when I made my manifold I made the plenum 50% of the size of my engine. I figured I could always add a spacer and it's easier to add volume with a spacer than take it away from the original design. I honestly haven't had the time to experiment much with my combo but one day at the track I added a 1/2 spacer and gained 2 mph over my previous pass that day.

Thumbs up for making your own. "It's not what you buy, It's what you build"

I know money is hard to come by these days but there is nothing wrong with having 2 hoods for your car.
Todd, I actually have 3 hoods but the hood that's on there now is a "super 400" fiberglass hood and I love the way it looks, also have a stock flat and 5" cowl unlimited Products hood. I will try this manifold and if I think there is alot more left on the table I will build a taller intake and use the cowl hood. I have plenty of aluminum and can build other manifolds.

I personally enjoyed the LS intake John Marcella cut apart an re-welded to fit a Buick or olds combo.

I know, I looked back at it and thought, maybe I'll just powdercoat it.

I got it about the 7-2 ports and the plenum wall too close, thanks, but does the plenum appear too small to work well? Also. as Tom V said I could always close off some of the taper in the runners if it seems sluggish?

Steve
Its all good , I know what you were doing. And it was not really that big of deal. The problem is that Google images will tag my name with a manifold image, then wala that manifold comes up on a search with my name. Or I think that's how it works

Anyway all is well.
