Need a good Instant Messenger for Android
My wife is going to be teaching at a public school that does not have a good cell phone signal but they have WiFi.So we are looking for a IM that works with the WiFi.
We were hoping the Hangouts would work but it does not.Thanks! |

You can message via skype, and it uses wifi or cell service.

Fb messenger, or google voice are both wifi and seem to work very well on wif.
I did not install instant messnger for FB either. |

I haven't tried it but my wife does not like Facebook messenger.I don't get on facebook much.We tried Google+ (almost Facebook)with Hangouts this morning but it didn't work.

Have you tried BBM for Android works well on my iphone. FB messenger has f'd up terms where they can read your messages, call your contacts etc.

You don't have to actually get on FB to use FB messenger. I use it to communicate with people in China and it works as good as anything else. Voxer seems okay too, but I never used it much
|

My wife talked to a co worker that uses KIK to talk to her son in afganistan.(sp)So we will try that next.The co worker also uses a Samsung phone.
Thanks for the ideas,I'm not that tech savvy.:-) |
