Default heater control cable?

67 GTO w/ac

on the heater control cable at the headend, is there a retaining clip of some sort or goes the cable or does it just slide over the post?

BTW as you know its a PITA taking the dash in and out.....lol

Its a little flat round metal disc with some notches cut in the middle. When you push it on, the notches distort and hold the disc on there and also the cable.

Troy,
This is what you looking for.
About 3/4" DIA.
If you take out the glove box liner, you should be able to snap these down/on.

If you can't find a PR, LMK.

Ok found them at the hardware store, thanks guys. Now I have the radio connected, but have a couple of other questions.
