Default 1978 Trans Am

For your consideration is this 1978 Pontiac Trans Am. The vehicle was purchased in 2003, where nearly every component of the vehicle was removed, refurbished or replaced, and re-installed over a span of four years (receipts total over $34,000). Since completion of the restoration, the vehicle has been driven approximately 5000 miles.

The vehicle is highly dependable, and used as a primary daily driver for the past year to include one trip halfway across the U.S. I have extremely enjoyed this vehicle, but am downsizing my collection.

I have uploaded 132 photos for your viewing pleasure at the following link: http://s959.photobucket.com/user/Tra...0sale%20photos. Not shown in the photos is the completely new rear interior and new timing cover replaced during the camshaft swap.

Attached is a Word document outlining all work performed and parts replaced.

Feel free to PM or e-mail TransAm400@gmail.com with any questions. Additional pictures will be provided upon request (please include a reply e-mail address). Asking $23,000. No trades. Buyer responsible for shipping.

Very nice. But you deserve an award for "best documentation"- impressive!

Haha, thanks. I've meticulously kept records along the way so in the event I ever decided to sell the vehicle, the next owner knew exactly what has been done to the vehicle. Hopefully I can find a good home for the car. It's been a fun car, but I need the room in the garage.

Open to reasonable offers (no trades). I would really like to see this car go to a fellow forum member. Will keep the car available to only PY members for another week before it goes on E-bay. Feel free to PM or e-mail with any questions or picture requests.

They were custom made by someone here (can't remember who) many years ago. They were just plain bars, which I later sent to a friend (machinist), who machined the holes in the pattern I designed.
