I took the break in the weather today to exercise the wagon a bit. Topped off the fluids and filled up the tank with premium fuel. Ran it for 20 minutes and drove it up the street then put it away. (Not currently licensed and needs a master cylinder) I checked the block code and found it to be a ZE stamped block, matching the code on the window sticker. I believe I will purchase the PHS to confirm the engine unit number matches the car. Anyone have a good ideas for a personalized plate for this thing? I currently have OHC 6 on my 67 FB and would like something unique for this one.

Saw this today while searching something and thought of this post.
Look forward to seeing more of that little treasure when the weather gets nice

Cammerwagon UPDATE: Over the last two weekends I did some work on the wagon, got some tags and put 125 miles on it. I did not go with anyone's plate suggestions, as I decided to go with YOM plates. I have a nice driver quality set that was issued to someone in my village, and think they look correct. I replaced the master cylinder with a reman and bled the front brakes. (original one was set aside for future rebuild) Then changed the oil/filter and fuel filter. The tailgate glass was getting scratched, so I decided to take the access cover off to see what was causing the problem. Found the glass tensioner had lost it's felt padding and had metal to glass contact. I replaced the felt, and swept out about 2 inches of pine needles, before putting it back together. Next I replaced the radiator cap and installed a new battery and my Y55 topper. New armrest pads came with the purchase, so I installed those, as well as plugged the door panel "holes" with vintage (1968) door speakers, courtesy of E-Bay. Cleaned the glass, and drove it off and on for two days. I have noticed that this vehicle has a shutter or drive train vibration when shifting from 1 to 2, (30 to 40 mph) or at highway speeds of 60 to 65. I am not sure if this is an engine natural frequency, or driveshaft issue, or something else. Is the ST300 behind the Sprint suppose to have a weight, similar to the manual trans optioned cars? I am going to get this thing on a lift and check it out closer. Any input/comments would be appreciated.

I've never seen the Damper on anything other then the F-Bodies.
If you have a local Drive Shaft Co, I would take the shaft out and have it checked & balanced if needed.
I had a similar issue and it did turn out that my shaft was out of balance.
Since I had the DS done years ago I figured it can't be that and chased my tail thinking it was everything/something else.

The reason the 1 barrel wagons are rare is because they all got demolished head-on trying to pass someone. You got a nice ride.

Sure glad mine survived! Must be because it has a 4bbl! (ha, ha) The plan is to take a look at the driveshaft and u-joints first. I spoke with a mechanic friend of mine and he has ran into a similar situation and it turned out to be a stiff u-joint. I will have it on a lift in a week.
