Default Right now is the time....

I have to say that I really appreciate all the accolades from the well wishers and such on "our" latest achievement on the dyno. I really want to thank all the guys who texted and sent their support. Aaron Quinton was gracious enough to lend A hand hooking up the engine and patiently helped disassemble the front of the engine to fix a water leak. I may have missed him in the thanks thread.....If you did not read this thread please do.
http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=751273

I'd also like to say that I in particular appreciated Stan and Bruce Wilkie's responses. They were not expected and gracious. I appreciated that. I also expected Dick Fultons response as he is a stand up guy and I know it.

I tried to be as gracious as possible and although I did give Johnta1 a pretty hard time....I'm not sorry. He deserved it.

I also have to say that I am more than a little offended at all the "chest beating", and "money" references. In a thread to complain about some people being jerks, In walks all the Crybabies whining about us beating our chest. The same people that could not muster a good job man(not that I expected it). If someone wins a race its all good. If we hit or exceed a goal and some of you don't like it we are chest beating. Yet these same guys bemoan the same exact behavior in others. AMAZING.

I'm anything but "RICH". Some of the guys complaining about their budgets have multiple cars! LOL! THATS THEIR CHOICE TO OVEREXTEND THEMSELVES! NOT MY PROBLEM! I chose the home and lifestyle I live and so did everyone else. GROW UP. Its not just the money. PARTS ARE PARTS. We work hard.

Please highlight where in that thread we "beat our chests"

Apparently we need to hand out "manpons" so some of these can wipe up.

Seriously its more than a little offending that there are some here that want to be a strait "A" student without doing the work. I gotta say Its childish for these to think its any different for me or "us". Marcella made great power last year and struggled getting the car to work. Many acted as if his engine was not worth a crap. Yet he was only a couple .10s off dwight and Langer and was as fast as they were the year before. ON HIS SECOND YEAR WITH THAT ENGINE! WTF? A lot of the grief came from the peanut gallery with no car that could come close.

Did I expect it to be different for me this year? NO. Thats why I drove 10 hrs ROUND TRIP to a known conservative DYNO. There is one within 45 min of my home that is within 1-2 hp of BES. IMAGINE THE CRAP I'D HAVE CAUGHT MAKING A BIG NUMBER THERE? OR THE CRAP I'D OF CAUGHT IF I MADE 998hp at BES? I understood the situation for what it was and made the drive as we were "going for it a bit".

I HAD THE SAME CHANCE TO FAIL AS ANYONE ELSE AND I ACCEPTED THOSE RISKS.

Now that we were successful beyond even where I thought and the ENGINE is doing the talking "WE" are beating our chests? PATHETIC USE OF JEALOUSY RIGHT THERE.

So we will use that nonsense as motivation moving forward and the Individuals that spew the jealous feelings they cannot control or recognize will likely continue with their lack of results.

If anyone wants to think that the 1067 was a fluke.....we backed it up on a second run. So you may pick which one you want to believe. Notice right after my name the -13 and -14. back to back pulls.

If thats not enough for you then fill one of these out and give it to the internet police...

Glad to see that you could post both runs and B*tch slap the unbelievers. Who is the west coast expert that showed up?

Sucker was on a hunt.

Looking forward to seeing that low 8 second pass at Norwalk this year.

Tom Vaught

ps have to agree strongly that John M's engine made great power and with a bit more chassis work could have been right with Langer and others. But if he can race in a class at Milan with his chebby engine and be competitive that will help him dial in the chassis too.

Thanks Mike, I'm glad I could help a little and well done. You have a lot to be proud of in that engine. It's clearly a well built, great bang for the buck engine. Marcella clearly has a handle on the ports and intake. Again, great job guys.

DITTO, been thinking (and posting) aside from side-gap practices, that there may be merits to keeping the plug ceramic dry.
