68 tilt wheel question
I have a tilt column in one of my 68's. When I put weight on it (like when getting into the car) it notches down a detent or two from the full upright position. Otherwise it works great and locks into every detent and I love the adjustability of a tilt in these cars. Is this a common wear complaint? Is there a specific part that can be replaced?
Thanks.

Sounds like the tilt locking pawls are not engaging all the way. The steering column was never designed to be a grab handle. Maybe the upper housing is coming a bit loose.
