2.11 1.77 valves. Open Chamber 72-78 or so CC chambers. Most I have checked have been higher than the advertised CC (in the 78 range). Should have screw in studs. Good higher compression D-port head. Date code looks to be 10-05-67 which would have been on a 68 car.

For a high compression D port they are about as good as it gets unless you get into early SD stuff. Very similiar to the 62 heads I am in the 11s with. Different D ports seem to have areas they "shine" in but overall those are decent to good heads.

Good heads, they are pretty desirable. These are good for 400 engines. The 6X's are good for the bigger engines as they keep compression streetable in those. On a 400, the 6X head is very low on compression. 6X is a very good head otherwise. It actually has a better intake port than the 16's. With a 1.77 exhaust valve added in they are even better. Just too low compression for a 400 IMO.

my motor is a 400... So i guess am good with the 16 heads..
