Default U joint recommendation please

I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a good, strong u-joint to run on my 69 GTO vert. I will be pushing the 500 hp mark this year and don't want to be spitting the drive shaft out when my foot gets a little heavy. I am running a TH400 with a GM 12 bolt. Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

Street tires?
If you still have the factory setup with the 3rGM's installed get some solid ones.

Yes, street tires. P225-70-R14 on Rally 2 wheels. When they are used up, I will be putting a little more rubber on the ground.

When I bought my drive shaft we discussed u joints. He said solid factory type u joints could easily handle more than a street tire could put down.

I went with Spicer 1350X (X=non-greasable) u-joint and pinion yoke since I was building drivetrain from scratch and wanted bulletproof. 455 with a Tremec manual trans on wide street tires.

I use spicer 1350's. But if you have a stock set up you will have to change both yokes.

Thanks much for the input guys. As much as I'd like to change both yokes and run 1350's my pocket book says I'll be running solid factory type this year. Any suggestions on a brand? I've always been a Spicer Fan.

What do you guys think of the girdles in the rear yoke to keep the caps in place. My T/A does not have the little tabs in place to center the cups in the rear. They are not broken either. They never were there. I just center them by eye/feel but it just makes me nervous.
