Valley Pan question #6.........
So I split my 65 valley pan and cleaned all the crud out of it. Got pretty aggressive with the angle grinder and now have a super shiny silver vp. It sat in the garage for a week and started to pick up some flash rust.
Obviously, the top side will get primed and painted blue, but what to do with the bottom and inside? Glyptal??? How do these surfaces stay rust free in the long run. Apologies in advance for all the questions about the vp, but I seem to be stumbling on this part Thanks ! Brad Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Interesting to see you were able to split the vc apart. What worked best for you to do that? You welding it back together? Thanks,DeWayne

In the long run, the oil mist inside the running engine will keep it from rusting.
Oil 'er up until it's time to install. |

DeWayne
Got a spot weld cutter from Harbor Freight for $5 and went to town. Had it apart in 20 minutes. Friend is welding it back together. I'd love to learn to learn more about metal and welding, but this isn't the car to be learning on brad Andre and Bart - I'll lube it up.. Felt like I was over thinking this one.
