Default This cam in a 466?

Will this work on the street with rhoads lifters to make it more street friendly?
Looks like a fairly slow lobe ramp. If so, any other suggestions to make it work better. Will be 70?30 street-strip.

Shop suggested the comp 274xe with the KRE heads at 9:1

This is my plan:
KRE 250cfm heads
HFT Cam;
Crower 60245 (HDP) Ultra Performance Cam
Adv. duration 311/316
.050 duration 248/253
Lobe sep. 112
.512/.524 lift w/1.5 rocker
rhoads lifters

400/466 4.25 stroke, 10.25: cr, KRE 250 cfm heads

OR will the same money be better spent with my current iron heads ported to 250 cfm at 9:1 cr, with a roller cam/lifters.

Either option costs about the same, and is limit of budget

I'd want to compare flow sheets between the two heads and know more about what this is going into (weight, gears, trans, etc.) before making any concrete recommendations. I'd also be thinking about the future. On the surface, with equal flow I'd save the money on the heads and go iron with the roller cam but the KRE heads have more potential down the road and you can always save your pennies and get a roller later.

Arrow Use the KRE's...

Hey Dennis,
I would use the KRE's installed at 10 to 1 compression to compensate for the heat loss when compared to iron. Even at the same cfm the KRE's fast burn chambers allow running 31-32 degrees total timing when compared to 36-38 degrees with iron heads.

Are you coming to this Saturday's SCC-POCI Show & Shine in Yorba Linda?
