Thanks guys. I am really happy with it so far. I am glad I chose to do make it more of a resto-mod/mild custom, although that front disc brake conversion was a real challenge. I just kept getting one leaking master cylinder after another until I finally went with a different m/c altogether. I will have to install all of the new rubber seals and the door and rear quarter windows, and then its on to finishing the interior. With Christmas coming, I may have to wait on any more expenditures for the car until after the first of the year.

Today was a monumental day in the life of my 62 project. It has left the body shop with all body work complete. Now its a front end alignment and then its time to finish the interior. I am finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Well, if you have been following this car, then you probably know I put her up for sale a month or so ago, before she was complete. It didn't take long and someone snatched her up. Yesterday I finally put the finishing touches on her and took the wife for a short ride. The car simply came out awesome in my humble opinion. So, here are the final pics...at least from me.

I hope your sale went well and that it put you $-wise where you needed to get to.

Chief, car looks great. Glad everything fell into place for you. Maybe youve already stated this but who made your inside door panels?

I had a local upholstery shop sew the panels and then I assembled them using Impala door cardboards and cardboard cut by the upholstery shop for the rear. I then assembled them myself. I had never done it before and the doors took me a total of 10 hours. It was pretty labor intensive to get them right. They came out nice. Not perfect, but very nice. If I had it to do over again, I think I'd just buy the reproductions and be done with it. Dealing with the various upholstery shops was kind of a pain and things didn't get done quite the way I wanted. Overall though, I think the interior came together nicely.
