Nothing wrong with writing a check. Just because someone has been successful in other aspects of their life and have the resources to hire expertise, one should not belittle success or accomplishments.

Someone should tell John Force he sucks and his 16 championships mean nothing and his accomplishments are trivial because he is just a better businessman than he is as an engine builder/chassis builder/tuner, etc.

True, but he does have 16 championships, etc to show for his money spent.

Sometimes success isn't measured in just championships, bragging rights or even money. Sometimes it is based on how much fun you are having. I don't know Jack well enough to say what motivates his racing...but if it is for fun...based on what he does and says on here he is having so much fun he is winning a championship everyday.

Narcissism at it's best.

My car has never weighed only 3000 lbs. and you know that. However, the first season out with a new untested car, we went 7's at every track we attended. Those included: Brainerd, Rock Falls, Cedar Falls, Byron, Cordova and Norwalk. No matter how "bad" the air was or how "bad" the track prep was, we still went 7's.

Good luck with your new heads. They look really nice. Just quit bashing my program - 'cause you ain't there yet.

Dick Fulton
I couldn't afford the piston on your program.

Huge props to Jack. I'm glad someone had the magic combination of balls and resources to do something like this!! I have a feeling that this cylinder head is really going to pick up the pace....

This type of cylinder head is exactly what needed to happen for the nitrous Pontiac crowd to take a big step forward.

TQ

Even a 9 second car would need over 20K put into it in upgrades to be able to use ANY high horsepower head on the market.
This is soooo true!!!

Great post!!

I guess if you consider hard questions that some seem to not want to address constructivley as slash and and burn, thats your interpratation. I have never been a cv basher -- there results speak for them self, they seem to be what there claimed to be , a street head. As far as the RA V program that seemed to have screwed over the RAR-Z program, that was just wrong. If the reality is your all butt hurt because you bought a product that has worked very well on other applications and you couldnt make it work, maybe its time to look in the mirror or question your helpers recomendations. There is cause and effect with every thing we do on a race car, If you buy a product that has produced the proper effect many times over, maybe its time you looked at the cause.

Calling a 481X a BBC is like calling a BAE 8X a Desoto Hemi.

As far as Jack's new cylinder head goes, I call it a symmetrical port Pontiac.

No different to me than a SBX head on a small block chevy, or a Sonny's hemi head on a BBC. It's still a Chevy, but with a more appropriate head for some applications.
