I found this color shot of that '65 and always wondered what the story was.

I remember as a kid watching that episode with the striped '65. I think the father drove full size Pontiacs in all of the episodes.

Those look too tall to be airship mooring masts. They are more likely military radio transmission towers. Could be an early RADAR array?

This was on an episode of "Family Guy" several years ago. That's George W. Bush in the frame, who says he restored this car during his "spare time" cooped up at his Texas ranch.
