Didn't Desoto sponsor the show at one time?

Sigh on the curtain says Desoto Plymouth dealers. Groucho also mentions them in the begining.

It's almost like Groucho cannot believe his good fortune.....

of course, he's probably used to it after dealing with Chico all those years.

The Mexican guy was an actor, if you didn't figure it out, but it's still hysterical.

I remember it as reruns in the 1970s.

"You Bet your Life" was the title.

George Fenneman was the sidekick.

My favorite line from the show when Groucho was talking to a farmer and his family, which had 12 children.

Groucho says "I like smoking my cigar, but I take it out of my mouth once in a while"

Pretty risqué stuff for the 1950"s.....

Talking

Yes those were funny times. Notice the dance had 'steps' like Chuck Berry later did? thanks.

Any audio/video to back that up?

I read where Groucho himself said that he never said that.
A lot of places always 'quoted' that, but no where can anyone find where he did say it.

Unfortunately, where we lived, we could only get 2 stations on TV.
And his show was one of them.

Now, Red Skelton, he was good.
