Well, so much for that. Got everything wiped down and it was darn near 80. Such is life when trying to paint a car in a desert environment in summer with medium activator.

Got those last 2 pieces painted. Most of the body has been wet sanded with 2000 and ready for when my buffer shows up. I am pretty happy with the way it reflects even through the sanding scratches.

Lot of trash in the fender for me to get out. Next thing I paint in here (if I have to) will benefit from much improved lighting.

Have to say, I am quite pleased. I never actually thought in a million years it would turn out this good. Hard to get better photos in my garage.

Poor wheels n tires - luckily that clearcoat wetsanding slop comes off pretty easy.

Have still been working on it, albeit much less. So far I have got the vent windows installed with new seals, and all glass. Just finished assembling my legendary door panels. This was not nearly as hard as I thought. Most difficult part is removing and cleaning up the old top rail. It is really nice to have the fit provided by original parts. Still need to install clips and trim strips.

I changed because I did not like the idea of sitting on black vinyl with the top down. It is 90s-100s and sunny all summer here.

If anybody needs tips on assembling door panels, I have a good reference. (I used pop rivets.)

Got me a hand-held air powered trim polisher kit from my buddy & Matco tools guy. I think it worked.
