Default 1970 Formula sold new @ Frizzell Pontiac

Good looking Blue 70 Formula on eBay...."complete body on restoration" per the ebay ad. hmm.......pretty nice looking conversion from A/C to non-A/C! Also, color change from gold to blue.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-...item2a2f4ab84e

This car caught my eye because it was sold out of Everett Frizzell Pontiac in Austin, TX. I remember back in the day Everett Frizzell stocked some nice muscle on their lot; capturing on Austin TX college town status. I can think of at least two notable cars that came out of the Everett Frizzell dealership; the Monarch Yellow/White Int '72 455HO GTO (once owned by President LBJ's attorney) and the Sundance Orange/White Int '72 455HO Formula that was featured in HPP.

It was located near Gulfgate Mall at 3040 Woodridge Dr. I spent alot of time there as Grandpa was good friends with Ivan Frizzell. Ivan's son, Everett Frizzell was sent to run the dealership in Austin. Everett, being a young guy at the time, is also one of the other reasons why the Austin location stocked some muscle Pontiacs.

My 72 GTO was bought at the Houston Gulfgate location. Frizzell's motto was "Get a Whale of a Deal". Here is a pic of the dealership.

Sloppily recovered 71 seats......72 doorpanels......rear spoiler.....somebody stole the A/C....idiot lights & an automatic...color change....

Somebody that knows nothing about these cars could enjoy it but I think it it will be a 'tough sell" for what they are asking.

I've been waiting for somebody to say that.

Ohh!.....looks like a rivet on the data plate popped off.

I still wouldn't kick it out of my garage as it would be a nice driver to cruise around in even without the A/C.

What I find more disturbing than the car is that you guys enjoy doing it so much you actually have a name for it
