Street Cam thoughts
I was looking at the "Official Pontiac Street Engine Combo Thread, Post your combo here!" thread, and Some people really like the 068 cam for a good running street cam for a 455, low maintenance run all day and recommend the Melling. Some people like the Summitt 2801 cam, the earlier 2801 was a little smaller than the 068, how does the newer 2801 stand up. I was looking at the #TC-03-HF which looks like the same Dur@.050 214/221 Lift@1.5 450/465 LC 112. Is there any real difference between these 3 cams for a street car? the 068 has wider L/C but other than that. Just looking at options, and would like to hear your thoughts.

Cam choice would depend directly on the static compression ratio of the 455. The 068 or 2801 cams would be a decent choice for a 7.7 to 8.5 to 1 CR 455, but not a very good choice for one up near 10 to 1 compression, IMHO.....Cliff
