Default 1968 PMD 6 engine mount

hello,

i have a friend which own a 1968 firebird with rare PMD L6 engine. he's searching for engine silent bloc. i've search for him with no find. (summit, year one, npd, ebay, etc) nothing match what he have. i have 67-76 gm part folder.

- groupe 0.027
INSULATOR or mounting, engine front mounting

2x 9797294 all 6cyl/sup 9777903 (the ones he have)

- groupe 0.029
BRACE, engine front mounting bracket

1x 9789161 right
1x 9789162 left









the one he bought on the left






so where can i find the correct engine mount? thanks for him.

I have some replacement ones that fit and function correctly but appear different and are actually safer.

do you have pictures? what do you mean by "safer"?

no pics,one of my cars has them installed but its too hard to get to now.
They have a built in stop that will prevent complete failure if the rubber separates.
Quite a few sold on this forum so maybe others can chime in with pics.

If you can't secure any form the others,
I have a good set of used out of a '69 but would be the same.

he have already bought two set of wrong parts, he doesn't what to do it again. he wants to be sure that he can install them without any modification.

normally is the rubber compound which even varied on some models between auto and man trans


i wonder what are the difference between 9777903 and 9797294?
