Default Fuel Line upgrade finnished

well.....got a wild hair and ran 1/2 inch line from tank to carb, and went to a return style bypass system through the regulator.....

Robmc 1/2 pickup to mallory 140 pump to Robmc bypass regulator...using my old 3/8 line as the return (I know, I KNOW....too small)....removed the mech. fuel pump and put a block off plate on.

anyway......system works nice...couple things I noticed right off the bat :

- I can run with less fuel than before without uncovering the pickup and pulling air(a lot less)
- Engine does not lay flat at high RPM....seems smoother?
- Engine seems to drop less RPM between shifts
- still get some pressure drop at WOT (down to 5) but the engine does not seem to notice
- Engine seems to pull very smoothly all the way up the RPM scale

I guess the proof is in the pudding.....on to the track

Mike I'm doing the same thing with the 70, except using a holley 850 by Shaker. Where did you mount the Mallory 140? I mounted mine on the rear pass. frame(will have custom tailpipe). I'm also using the Robb Mc 1/2" pickup(to utilized gas gauge). Installed -10 AN flared male fitting on lower P side of tank to 100 mic filter then pump. 1/2 alum to 40 mic filter then to reg(mallory return style) -6 to carb. 1/2" return. How far is the pump from tank? Any pics of pump mounted area? Your work looks neats and well thought out. Roger
