Default 1967, 1972 TH400

1967 PS code TH400 from a 67 GTO $500

1972 PX code TH400 $100

1972 PR code TH400 $100

The 67 was removed 15 years ago for a 700R4. The 72's are from parts cars and are cores.

For 1972
PG for the L78 400
PR for the L75 455
PQ for the LS5 455 ho

For 1971
PX (std w/3.08 & 3.23)
PY (std w/3.55)
PR (L78 w/3.31)
PW(L78 w/3.08 & 3.23)
PQ (LS5 455 HO)

If I heard your message correctly you have a 455 HO so PQ would be the correct code.
