Ok 1982 slant 6 how do u identify if its a cast or forged crank by looking at the block
Apparantly there is a way... Anyone know.....

The forged crank was phased out of production at the end of 1976. The cast crank engines can be identified by an "E" stamped next to the engine number (i.e. 225E).

Got a buddy here at work tryin to fix up this 225 slant 6...
OIL Pan is pretty rusted ..and the drain plug is broken off He picked it up from a wreckin yard with only like 45,000miles Took the Valve cover off ..can u say clean..wow Anyway might be lookin to see if someone might have a line on a PAN.... LMK what anyone might have ...Thanks Chris
