Default Congrats to Jeff Raff for winning the Outlaw Pontiac season ender

Jeff Raff mowed down the rest of the field with his wheelstanding 64 GTO and went to the finals against a very tough past champion, Greg Orris, and won when Greg cut a -.002 light. Jeff left hard anyway and ran almost dead on his dial to take the biggest payday of the year. Jeff's car was a fan favorite for the way it leaves and when he pulled it into the winners circle, many in the crown started mumbling stuff about it having a Chebby motor in it to which Jeff responded quite loudly.."I'll kiss everyone of your ***** if there is a Chevy under that hood"!! Congrats Jeff on a kickass win and we are looking forward to our 2013 season and more great racing!!

Love his response to the naysayers in the crowd.

Did it pay out the full $2K as advertised or were there not enough cars in the count to get there?

Kudos to Capitol for putting in $1K...they didn't have to do that, but they did...new management is looking way better than old management already.

Default Race Day Experience

Congrats Jeff!! Job well done......

This was my first time out to see the Outlaw Series, truly a worth while event and a great bunch of guys!

For all you guys and gals who have never attended one of these races here's a "cliff note" version of my experience with these guys on race day.....

Although very hesitant and having NO Idea what to do on a track, I decided to attempt a pass or two.......Thanks Bill, he walked me through the registration process and thanks Jack Gaydosh gave me some pre-race pointers, of course my mind went blank and I forgot everything he told me after my burnout! lol.......... things progressively got worse from there........

I was very nervous.....(had no idea what I was doing)

car did not run good at all the first pass.....car bogged off the line and detonation mid track

then I red lighted the second pass.....

the car seemed to run better, I switched to race fuel seemed to fix that problem... but no time due to me rolling pass the light.

very embarrassing outing for me to say the least.....

All that being said...... I had a GREAT TIME!!!!.....all the Pontiac guys and their families were great, they did not laugh at me to much, and although very busy getting themselves ready for racing, they still took time to talk to me and even offer a few words of much needed encouragement.

Thanks guys for a great experience.....I will definitely try it again next year and support The Pontiac Outlaw Series!!

Congrats to Jeff for winning the race!! This was our final race of this season, and our points championship came down to this race. Congrats to Clifford Mayes for taking the championship. The top 3 spots were separated by only 16 points!

>> Did it pay out the full $2K as advertised or were there not enough cars in the count to get there?

Winner got approx $1500 for going 5 rounds, field of 31 cars
R/U approx $500.
We paid back $90 to 1/4's and $125 to the semi's.

Capitol handed us $1500, which we gave right back to the winner, runner up,
semi's and quarters. Earlier this season, they handed us $1000 at our 1st race there.
The new management at Capitol are great to work with. & they are making a major effort
to make Capitol a great place to race.

One of the reasons for Capitol stepping up this year for us is our car count. If we can
keep the cars coming in, they & our other sponsors will keep supporting us.

Mook -- thanks for the kind words & that is why we do it!!!

Jeff ate us up. Jeff is a devout Pontiac racer and his 64 GTO is a pleasure to watch
make a pass. Can't miss that bright Yellow goat.
Congrats Jeff.
