Floor jack suggestions
My old cheapie floor jack just took a ***** after 30 years of use. In the market for a new one. I don't want to spend more than a few hundred, and would prefer one that is NOT made in China.
Any suggestions? |

Good luck.
This is what I ended up with a few months ago. Starts looooow and goes high. So far so good. China? China is probably a couple of steps up from where this was made. http://www.harborfreight.com/2-ton-l...ump-68050.html

I had the same situation a few years ago. I bought one from NAPA and it works good. Still imported though. If you want one made in the states be willing to shell out $400 or more for one.

I would pay extra for made in USA. I like to support OUR economy.

I would buy an aluminum jack. I got one earlier this year after I noticed my old floor jack was seeping hydraulic fluid. I will never go back to a steel bodied floor jack.

Hein Werner looks great. I'll have to spend a few more $$, but at least my money will stay in our economy! Found some options for ~ 400 shipped.

I bought a Hein Warner a few years ago and it's a great jack. Works great, well made, and the better wheels on it make it easy to push around.

Mine was purchased at Grainger about 10 years ago. It takes all the abuse I can throw at it.
