Default House Alarm

I have a red light on my keypad next to the fire alarm and the red light on the smoke detector that's mounted on the ceiling. The alarm is an Acron Avenger II AV3100E. Is there any tests I can do on this or should I swap out the smoke detector?

Does the smoke alarm have a battery backup?? If so, I would put in a new battery & see if you can get the code/light to clear. Do you have the instructions/troubleshooting manual??

I do not have the manual but I just searched online and a user guide and it references a reset for the fire alarm. I'll give that a shot and then make sure the smoke detector actually works.

There is a 12V backup battery in the control panel and that was replaced a few months ago, the smoke detector does not have a battery.
